KIND WORDS FROM JOSE MOHLER

FOUNDER, LEFT COAST ATHLETIX

I’ve been training quarterbacks for over a decade, and Miles Hastings has always stood out for far more than his talent. During the years I coached him, I genuinely enjoyed every session not just because of his work ethic, but because of who he is. He was present, engaged, respectful, curious, and simply enjoyable to be around. Those qualities made our time together meaningful beyond football.

Miles also took a unique journey in his development. From a young age, he actively sought out information, learned from multiple quarterback coaches, and absorbed high-level mechanics, timing, and scheme work long before most quarterbacks are even exposed to it. He learned the “script” of the position from many different angles, and now he thinks independently, taking what worked for him, what he saw work for others, and shaping it into his own grounded understanding of how the quarterback position truly functions. That depth of process at such a young age is rare, and it’s exciting to imagine what he will pass on to the athletes he mentors.

He brings all of that experience plus his natural presence and authenticity into his coaching and mentorship.

Miles has a rare ability to make young quarterbacks feel both challenged and understood. He makes the process fun, he makes development exciting, and he creates an environment where kids feel proud of their progress. I genuinely believe most athletes will get in the car after a session with him already asking, “When can I go back?” That eagerness doesn’t come from drills alone, it comes from the way Miles connects, communicates, and brings out the best emotional expression in the kids he works with.

Parents should know what he offers:

• Extensive experience learning from multiple high-level QB coaches

• A deep understanding of mechanics, timing, and scheme

• Clear, simple teaching built from real experience—not theory

• Authentic care and enthusiasm

• The ability to balance intensity, joy, discipline, and play

• A presence that naturally inspires kids to want more

Miles teaches from lived experience. He understands both the successes and the struggles of playing quarterback at a high level, and he brings that perspective into his mentorship with honesty, clarity, and heart.

His future in quarterback development is incredibly bright, and any young quarterback would benefit from spending time with him—not just as an athlete, but as a growing human being.

Miles earns my full endorsement.
